The Tektronix 4014 terminal was introduced in 1974 at a price of $8,450.[1]
Tektronix announced Option 40 in June, 1977 at a price of approximately $2,000.[2] Option 40 provided the user with the ability to program alphanumeric and graphics macros via the keyboard for local playback.
