The SHOgraphics PEXstation 1 is a color graphics terminal for the X Window System supporting the PHIGS Extensions for X (PEX). It was introduced in July, 1992 at a price of $11,900 to $24,900 depending on configuration. The PEXstation 1/ST includes an independent pixel processor and the PEXstation 1/SX is a multiprocessor system that operates almost 7 times faster than the base model.[1]
