The HP 2648A is a monochrome graphics terminal introduced in July, 1977 at a price of $5,500, or $7,100 with optional cartridge tape drives.

  • graphics and alphanumeric data viewed separately or simultaneously
  • 8K RAM alphanumeric memory, expandable to 12K
  • 32K RAM graphics memory
  • 720x360 graphics resolution
  • 80x24 alphanumeric resolution
  • 9x15 dot character resolution
  • graphics zoom and pan
  • optional cartridge tape drives storing 220K per tape
