The DEC VT101 terminal is a variant of the VT100 that lacks the expansion slot of the VT100 as a cost reducing measure.[1][2] While it does not use the exact same mainboard as the VT102 and VT131, the board is almost the same, just lacking AVO and STP options. Unlike the VT100 it does support the extended character set, even without AVO.[3]
