The DEC GT40 graphic terminal was introduced in October, 1972.[1] It consists of a PDP-11/34 minicomputer, a VT11 vector graphics processor, and associated PDP-11 peripherals to create a standalone graphics terminal system. The PDP-11/34's main memory is used to store a display list that is refreshed onto the display by VT11 graphics processor.
