The DEC VT110 terminal is a variant of the VT100 that includes a DPM01 DECdataway terminal multiplexer.[1][2] The multiplexer uses the VT100's expansion slot as a means of providing power to the multiplexer, but does not share any internal electrical signalling with the terminal. The VT100 may be connected to the multiplexer using it's external connectors.
