The DEC DECserver 200 terminal server was introduced in August, 1986 at a price of $3,500. The 200/MC model connects asynchronous serial communications devices to IEEE 802.3 local area ethernet networks. The DECserver 200/MC model provides RS-232C ports with full modem control. The 200/DL model provides RS-423 signalling.[1]
