Bildschirmtext was the German variant of the Videotex set of standards.

It defined character cells of 12x10 pixels.

Up to 96 characters could be user defined, in up to 16 colours per character cell.

There's a total of 32 colours out of a palette of 4096 colors. Characters can be normal size, double height, double width and double size. There's a variety of blink modes.
A screen is usually 40x24 characters in size, there was a mandatory but rarely (never?) used 40x20 mode as well as an optional 80 column mode.
