The Hughes Conographic-9 terminal was introduced in November, 1975 at a base price of $9,750.[1] The terminal encodes a picture as a sequence of conic curves giving higher fidelity representation and lower transmission costs for complex graphic displays. By September, 1985 Hughes had withdrawn support for the product.[2]
