The DEC VT78, also called a DECstation, is a combination of a PDP-8/E and a DEC VT52. The PDP-8/E is implemented via the Intersil IM6100 CMOS microprocessor implementation of the PDP-8/E instruction set with some extensions.
Local storage is provided on either RX01 or RX02 floppy disk drives. Up to 4 drives can be connected to the system.
