- September 27, 1972: Infoton terminals used to register attendees at Wescon.[2]
- October 23, 1974: Optical Scanning Corp. takes over marketing and servicing of Infoton terminals for end-users, while Infoton continues to service OEM markets.[3]
- February 16, 1976: Atlantic Barber and Beauty Supply Co. uses Infoton terminals to manage inventory.[4]
- March 1, 1976: Ted Robinson appointed vice-president of the Infoton division of Optical Scanning Corp.[5]
- February 28, 1977: Grossmont Union High School District uses Infoton terminals for time-sharing at 110 and 300 baud.[6]
- September 17, 1979: Michael T. Smith is named corporate vice-president of operations for Infoton, Inc.[7]
- March 10, 1980: Infoton, Inc. changes its name to General Terminal Corporation.[8]
